Sean is an up-and-coming comedian and I was on a show with him very recently at the Ice House in Pasadena and Sean was telling me

that he just returned from a comedy tour of the Middle East and that in some Middle Eastern

countries he actually had to perform for a board, a government board who told him which jokes

you can and cannot do.

That in another country, the entertainment police showed up and recorded part of his set.

And I said, Sean, you got to come on to augment debate.

I want to have this conversation because on the show, we've been talking a lot about freedom of speech as it applies here in America.

And we've been talking a lot about the dark clouds of the

theocracy that hangs over America right now with the rise of Christian nationalism. And I think

there's a lot of parallels there and that it's an important and good conversation to have.
