Hello, sir, how are you?

Hello, very well, thank you.

It's really an honor to have you here.

It's a pleasure coming for an interview. So maybe we could talk a little bit

about the history of the domain that your family has in Burgundy. So your father was was working with the vines and

the reception in America wasn't uh he was known and respected but it had some up and down periods and what happened from your perspective?

Well basically the domain for years has been existing for five generations

unlike every family is in Burgundy with the up and down period

but one of the sad things which happened to my father when he was 14 years old, he lost his dad in a vet during fermentation.

They only found him the next day, so when he was 14 years old, he's been sent it to his great uncle,

who was Mr. Ferno-Perno in Javerschamburtain, and a very famous vigneuron of Jevrey. So at the age of 14 he was told to start his first

vintage and he has made some amazing wines, but it was labeled at the time under the domain Perno.

Then later on it was

actually 1959,

but his first vintage was actually 1959 and I think it started to be

Pernofordia around 1975 or 76. What happened during the 80s, my father is a wonderful man but is probably one of the less diplomatic person you can meet and it was

that period mid-date is where Robert Parker was really pushing the growersers in Burgundy using 100% York.

And in the cellar basically, Mr Parker said to my father,

Monsieur Foy, I think your points would be far far much better if you was using 100%

you oak.
