Our faith has to live and be vibrant and expressed and identifiable outside the walls of a church.

Or it remains a theory. It remains just an imagination. Jesus didn't just have a message when he was in the synagogues.

He had messages on the hillsides and in the boats, and when he was in the public square,

and he was in front of the political leaders, in all of those places, he had a kingdom message.

And you and I are Christ followers.

He's our model.

He's our example.

I know we usually give the invitation at the end of the service.

I want to give you one at the beginning to say, Lord, I don't want to just watch. I want to be engaged. You know, I used to play

sports, and I never was a big fan of sitting on the bench. It was always more fun to be involved.

But this season in my life, it doesn't bother me so much to watch, but I still like to be involved

in something.

It just takes longer to heal.
