| 0:00.0 | Welcome friends, as we begin the weekly recap for Sadistle School Week number three season three, |
| 0:13.8 | I'd like to tell you a story about the plumber, or you could say it's the story of a shower, |
| 0:19.1 | or you might call it beware of the power of bad advice. This is the story of Holly Finch and her |
| 0:24.5 | husband Hal, who had been looking for their dream apartment in San Francisco, which is not an |
| 0:29.8 | easy thing to do in San Francisco. It's very expensive and crowded market, good apartments going |
| 0:34.6 | quickly, but they found an amazing place. They moved in and they loved it. They loved everything |
| 0:39.2 | about it, in fact, except just one thing. The only sticking point was the water pressure in the |
| 0:44.3 | shower was really bad. Everything else was great. Their dream apartment, like I said, but that lack |
| 0:49.6 | less your shower, that very low water pressure just kind of became this daily annoyance that they |
| 0:54.1 | had to deal with. And they would always talk about how well we love our apartment except for this |
| 0:57.7 | one thing. Now right after they moved in, they talked to a plumber. Plumber came over, looked at it |

| 1:07.8 | to replace them, to do some major work that would cost only $20,000. No big deal, just $20,000 to |
| 1:14.1 | fix your shower. Holly and Hal said no thanks, and they resigned themselves to a lifetime of unsatisfying |
| 1:19.1 | showers. She mentioned it to one of her friends, and that friend sent a nice housewarming gift, |
| 1:23.4 | a low flow shower head. She was excited about this. She had bought it online and said, maybe this |
| 1:27.6 | will help you. And Holly got the gift and thought, oh, that's nice of her, but you know, we've |
| 1:31.4 | already heard from the plumber that the pipes are the problem. It would require major repairs. |
| 1:36.0 | So she just took that shower head and just kind of put it away in a drawer somewhere. |
| 1:40.0 | And then they lived in the apartment for two more years. So two more years go by, still a great |
| 1:45.0 | place, still a bad shower. One day they have their friend Joe over as a house guest. And Joe spends |
| 1:50.7 | the night, gets up in the morning, they're having breakfast. And Joe says, you know, your place is |
