This is John Batchel. Speaking to Bill Roshio about the proposal, 10-point proposal by the United States

delivered at the United Nations for Gaza. It includes a Board of Peace to come together,

apolitical, technical, to supervise the beginnings of the rebuilding of Gaza and to go out of

commission in 27 and replaced by Gazans who are rebuilding is the theory. It does not provide

for security. That needs to be filled in, but it is called the Board of Peace. Bill explains what we know so far and

his opinion of its likelihood. Would it have worked in Afghanistan? Would it have worked in Iraq?

You know, ironically, the size and, you know, as Hussein mentioned, homogene of Gaza, you

would think, you know, versus a country like Iraq or Afghanistan where we've conducted

occupations, you would think that it would be a lot simpler to deal with a small country with less than

you know with about two million people or not country but a small you know landmass with

about two million people that are very similar would be far easier than in iraq and

afghanistan but that's going to prove to be far more difficult.

You know, in all of these three key points, John, the question is who?

Who's going to be on this Board of Peace?

Who's going to comprise the security forces?

Who's going to provide the money for this?

You know, as far as the Board, you know, the Board of Peace goes, how can Israel trust country, if a country like Turkey or Qatar or both of these countries are on it, how can the Israelis trust them?
