Importer retailer in the Boston, Massachusetts market, joins us today to talk about his

selection natural import business and also the wine

botega in the north end of Boston.

So you grew up in Connecticut?

Yep.

And what were you doing out there in terms of your studies?

Yeah, I grew up in Connecticut, basically through high school,

and then went up to college after that into Vermont

and was going into biology actually.

Oh, all right.

Really love the sciences, kind of grew up around marine biology down in the cape on and off during

the summers and had a lot of enjoyment in the kind of science world.

So I was studying up there and getting into a lot of plant science, plant physiology at the

end was something I really focused on.

I loved nature. Vermont was a great spot for that.

But, um, see after that I turned into a guy that really didn't want to be in a lab for a long time.

Outdoors was more.

Outdoors was my thing.

I was more at the ecology side, not the microbiology side.

After that, I settled in, I graduated, realized I didn't necessarily want to go off into the

lab world, the doctorate world, and found myself in Boston, which was a place I always want to spend time after college. I thought
