My name is Joshua Sheets, I am your host, and today we're going to talk about how to lower the emotional risk of a new adventure.

One of the things that I've observed being a financial planner is that risk management for individuals is crucial if you're going to achieve goals.

Now I'm not talking about doing a sharp ratio

analysis or a Monte Carlo simulation. I'm not talking about anything

financial. I'm talking about working with you and helping you to adjust your perceived risk.

I'm personally convinced that even though I used to do all the technical financial planning stuff,

I'm personally convinced that people like coaches, personal coaches, and performance people who

seek to inspire others probably do more to help people build wealth than those of us who are

formal financial planners do.

Because if you can help somebody learn how to overcome their perception of risk so that they'll go and

take a new job or apply for a job that's double the amount of money or so that they can go and start a business as they can go and move from

one town to another town I think you'll find that that's far more productive than just simply technical metrics on

their portfolio. So I want to talk to you about how to lower the emotional risk of a

new adventure. I'll tell it to you because earlier today I did something that was a little

bit cowardly and I'll tell you about it here in a moment. But I'm using as a tool for teaching you about this, one of my recent projects. I have just this week
