You know, since we're all in on fall cooking again, it's time to get back to baking, too.

So, you may have heard me make this confession before, but I'm really not much of a baker.

Cooking, you know, cooking I always got, because cooking seemed to be something that you can do in the fly. You know, you work on instinct, you add this, you taste it, you add more of that. And baking to me always seemed so technical or precise, or if I'm really honest, kind of boring, you know, you got to add two cups of this,

exactly two cups, you stir, you put it in the oven, you hope for the best.

But the more I learned about the two, the more I realized, you know, that isn't entirely right.
