Let's jump on in. At the end of last year in December, right after the whirlwind

of the perimenopause revolution book launch, which let me tell you was about six months in duration,

give or take. I headed straight into the holiday season. And mind you, we had been doing the

holidays since around Thanksgiving,

but this was the week, this was mid-December, where my son was getting out of school for his two-week

vacation, and we had his big holiday party at school, which I volunteered for. I was trying to show up

as that mom who shows up, who does the volunteering, who goes to the parties.

And later on that day, we are hosting our own holiday party at the house. I've got lots of

people coming over. And that morning, I wake up at 6.30 praying that I don't have a migraine,

but the second I open my eyes, it's clear that I do.

And this is not unusual on its own. Goodness knows, if you've been listening to this show,

you have heard me say too many times. You're probably sick of hearing me talk about my migraines.

This is the third morning in a row where I wake up and it feels like there is an ice pick

the left eye because it's always on the left side. But let's be honest, migraines are so much more

than just left side, you know, pain. It is nausea. It is a disconnectedness. It is brain fog.
