Our young people have a tremendous zeal and energy and strength,

but they need guidance.

They need to be encouraged to submit to authority.

And more than your words, they'll need to see you submitted to the righteous authority of God.

They need training and the tools, the weapons that are available to the authority of God. They need training in the tools, the weapons that

are available to the people of God. Teach them the power of the truth of God to break the bondage

of their lives. Teach them about the triumph of holiness over happiness.

We've been working through this series called Shaping Culture.

What the premise is really very simple.

I believe the church is intended to shape culture, not be shaped by it.

And it's an unfortunate commentary on the contemporary church that for too long, I believe we have been shaped by culture.

We've been more interested in being approved by a secular culture than we have been changing it.

But I believe God is awakening a group of people with a different heart.

And I believe that we will see evidence of that in the months and the years ahead of us.
