Hi this is Steve. If you imagine the perfect Thanksgiving, what do you see? A huge

turkey with all the trimmings, your traditional family football game, or maybe just

looking around at all the people you love and taking a moment to realize just how lucky you are.

Well, one thing you probably don't imagine is bad motels, broken down trains, burnt out cars, and five days on the road with a person you absolutely

can't stand.

But that is exactly what John Hughes imagined when he conceived planes, trains, and automobiles.

With fantastic performances from Steve Martin and the late great John Candy, planes,

trains and automobiles is a funny, frustrating, familiar, and in the end deeply heartfelt movie.

It's one of those films where you can't help loving the main characters despite the fact

that half the time you can't stand them.
