Motherfuckers, I say that with all affection, it is Mother's Day after all.

I don't know if you've ever heard me talk about this, but in Benobos, the only combination

that really doesn't happen, the only sexual union that doesn't happen is Mother's Son,

which is very interesting because the Mother's Son relationship is probably the most important

relationship in all of Benobos society.

If you don't know what a Benobo is, look at that shit up, get with the program.

Anyway, Benobo, very closely related to humans, as closely related as chimps, I won't bore

the people, do know with a long explanation, but very relevant to any discussion of the

primate origins of human behavior and so on.

So anyhow, Benobos, the only combination that doesn't happen is Mother's Son.

Father daughter happens in captivity where the fathers and the daughters are kept together,

but it doesn't really happen in the wild because the females leave their natal group, the

group they're born into when they reach sexual maturity.

So, the father daughter thing doesn't really happen in a natural setting either, but even

in captivity where and in the wild because the sons stay with the mother throughout their

lives, you never see Mother's Son sexual interaction.

Despite, as I said, the fact that that is one of the most, these probably the most important

relationship in all of Benobos society.

In fact, as you may know, the female hierarchy, females dominate males in Benobos society

in the sense that the females stick together and keep the males in check.

So if a male gets out of hand and starts getting aggressive with the female, all the females
