My name is Patrick Cummings, here all by myself this week. Thank you so much for joining us. If you've been dipping into the show for the last few weeks,

you'll know that we have a slightly evolved format. We're coming to you two days a week now,

Tuesdays and Fridays with shorter and more focused episodes.

We certainly hope that you are enjoying it thus far.

I know that I am and one of the reasons why I am is that this new format

gives us, gives me an excuse to go back through the archives on a somewhat regular

basis. We're going to do this every now and again. Maybe

slightly longer than that because we've been doing this show for quite a while and

there are a lot of really good conversations in the archives that I would love to bubble back up to our collective

awareness. This episode is a fantastic example of that. This came originally out in July of 2018 and it's actually the first time that Ben and I did an episode on parenting

Which actually surprised me when I realized that I didn't think we I thought we we held off on parenting for longer than we did

turns out not so much I love this episode for one re well for many reasons but for one

reason because when we recorded I had a 15 monthmonth-old baby, and now, as I sit here in 2024,

recording this, I have a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old.
