Chicago is a city of neighborhoods and this is a hell of a neighborhood.

So the past couple of years on the anniversary of the beating, me and my producer Bill we walked the same route Leonard at Clevan took, right past White Sox Park.

I remember this place, we used to come up here to buy hats and starter jackets and shit

because this was one of the last places in the city where you could get like a starter

jacket. We grew up on starter jacket.

But every time I'm near, I still feel like I don't want to be here when the sun go down.

I got my head on swivel, you know, I'm just, you know, looking, checking out the surroundings.

I feel like that element, that threat is still here.

One time walking down the street, we saw a Black Lives Matter flag out front of a white dude's house.
