I am turning 27 this week. 27 feels big because it's how old my mom was when she

0:29.9

got pregnant with me. And this is a classic kid thing to do is to like measure your life as in before you came into this world and after

0:41.3

you came into this world. But the other day my family and I were playing this interesting game

0:45.6

where we were determining like the halfway point between knowing each other and not knowing

0:52.9

each other. So like for example, because my mom was

0:57.0

barely 28 when she had me, right now she just passed that birthday where the amount of time that

1:04.7

she's known me in her life and the amount of time that she did not have me in her life is exactly equal. And I did the same

1:14.3

thing with my sister. Like when I turned 21, that was the moment for me where I was like, wow,

1:18.9

I've had my sister in my life for exactly the amount of time that I was an only child. And so we were

1:25.1

just doing all these funny numbers. And for me, 27 is like,

1:30.6

I don't know, I always thought like somehow life kind of starts when I'll turn 27 because that's

1:36.5

narcissistically what I felt like when my mom's life started, although of course, that is not the

1:43.1

case. But, you know, I always just thought like, okay, 27, 28, that's life started, although, of course, that is not the case. But, you know, I always just

1:45.1

thought, like, okay, 27, 28, that's when my mom had her first child. So maybe that's, like,

1:51.5

the time that I'll have my first child. And as I'm, like, nearing toward that and more seriously

1:57.8

family planning and now actually turning 27 and being in that, I'm like, oh my gosh,

2:03.3

here it is. Not to mention, I'm also kind of dipping into my Saturn return. If you're into

2:11.2

astrology and zodiacs, Saturn return is basically when Saturn makes one full loop around the sun. So it's basically like your first

2:19.7

Saturn birthday and it happens every like 27 to 29 years. So you will hit it again in your 50s.
