Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone. Always great to have you with us. Thank you for tuning in again this week. We've talked in the last couple shows here about, you know, what we're learning from the new data that's coming out of the first few weeks of the season. We've gone over it with analysts like Dwayne McFarlane and Ben Gretch, got some great insights from them. Because the more information that we're getting here the clearer the picture becomes for

what we're dealing with this year and after four weeks we can start to feel at least a little more

confident about what we're seeing and just trying to project it moving forward and then it's just a

matter where your team's at so far right did you get off to a hot start if so great you're in a

position of strength you know now you're just trying to keep it rolling and build towards that late season run. If not, if you're one and three, if you're 0 and four, we got a little bit of work to do. And that's one of the things I want to talk about today. We're going to look ahead to week five, but we're also going to go over some of the moves that you can make to save your season potentially just if things are

going off the rails what can you do about it to get things right over the next month or so we've got

another great guest to help us out with this one it's become a regular on the show we've had them

on every year the last couple years here eric moody now of ESPN he's on twitter at Moody. Awesome guy. Great analysts. We're glad he's back with us again here. Eric, welcome back to the show. How's the early part of the season been treating you so far here? Hopefully no one in three or oh and four teams. You know, I've been dealt out. It's just like all the other fantasy managers that are out there.

But I'll say, first of all, Justin, hey, thanks again for the invite, as always. It's always very nice to be able to catch up with you. Plus provide, you know, advice, you know, to the masses. But, you know, I've dealt with injuries, too, on a lot of my teams, you know, with Jerry Judy going down. You know, David Montgomery. I know that's a recent injury.

And so I feel like each week, you know, I Montgomery. I know that's a recent injury. And so I feel

like each week, you know, I get thrown like a haymaker from Mike Tyson, but hey, we get back up and we keep fighting, right? I mean, we all deal with that stuff. You know, I had a team that looked like they were going to go continue the undefeated streak here, go to four and oh. All I needed was, I believe, six points on monday night and mike williams came away after having like 20 points in each of the first three weeks came away with one catch for 11 yards so yeah we all have those those terrible stories that we're dealing with early in the year here but that's what i want to talk about normally i would wait until like the middle of the show maybe to talk about the main topic for the day, but I want to start with it right out of the gates here because there's a lot of people who are off to these slow starts, either because of injuries like you mentioned, maybe just because the players they drafted aren't working out. It happens, right? Nobody gets everything right in fantasy football. So let's talk about some of the moves that desperate fantasy managers

can be making in order to save their seasons. And really anyone could make these moves,

but the focus is on if you absolutely need to do something. Because if your team's rolling

right now, you know, maybe you can just sit there and see how it goes the next couple of weeks.

But if you're at 1 and 3 or 0 and 4, you kind of have to do something, unless it's just a situation where you got the most points scored against you and your team's still doing really well, but you've been unlucky in the points against department, then maybe you can ride it out and things will sort themselves out. But I think if you're 1 and 3 or 0 oh and four you're going to want to be aggressive here

to try to change things up and get your roster going forward in the right direction so whether it's

you know players to target and trades whether it's waiver wire pickups whether it's you know some

form of strategy that you want to go about and employ and we can go back and forth here we can

discuss it but what's the first

move that comes to mind for you when we're talking about someone who's trying to save their season

heading into week five? Yeah, the first thing that immediately came to mind, Justin, for me,

was just making trades. I know the waiver wire, there hasn't been like that difference maker so
