Before this episode, I just want to give a bit of a disclaimer.

This is not Disney's little mermaid, and the original story contains much more violence

and death.

As usual, I'm not graphic about anything, but please be aware before putting this on

for your kids based on the title alone, and then leaving the room.

This week on Myths and Legends, it's the original story of the little mermaid.

You'll see that you too can find love if you're willing to painfully and irrevocably

change everything about yourself on a fundamental level.

Also, you'll see why it's nearly never a good idea to let your unsupervised children

visit a sea witch, because that eel-clothed sorcerer will give them dangerous weapons

and take their hair and tongues.

Amoldive headfirst and in the complex theology regarding whether or not mermaids have eternal

souls, something I'm sure you've always wondered.

On the creature of the week, it's another creepy mountain dweller who will eat you, or

just get bored more and draw off, depending on your reaction.
