If you know anything about numbers in scripture, they're very often symbolic of something.

Now, let me just say this. It is possible to get so wrapped up in numerology and so intrigued and fascinated by all the numbers that you miss God.

You miss the whole point of what it is God is trying to say,

and I would urge you not to go to seed on that,

but I would remind you that numbers are of significance in Scripture.

And one perfect example of that is the number seven.

From the very beginning, from the book of Genesis,

seven was seen as the number of wholeness,

of completion, of fulfillment,

and as Scripture progresses and reveals God to us,

seven is very often connected to the Lord and to his perfect work,

because it reveals something to us

about the God of fulfillment, the God of fullness.

Today we're concluding our study of the Holy Spirit and seeing the Spirit in the Scriptures,

looking at these symbols, these divine pictures God gives us of the Holy Spirit.
