He is into word porn more than he is into the kind of porn I or at least it's what he tells me.

But he's an amazing poet and he's a super interesting guy.

He's very funny and he's one of my favorite people.

So without further ado, here is my good friend, Derek Brown. Hello everybody and I am absolutely thrilled to be welcoming my new guest today.

I'm actually a little bit nervous. This is a fantastic poet and an old friend

that this is only the six podcast I've ever recorded,

so I have no fucking idea what I'm doing.

So not to expect a professional show in any way whatsoever.

I'm glad it's not the first. So far so good. Well the first

one I did with my parents so I figured that you know they could handle like all of

my mishaps so when I walked when I walked in was like, why the fuck is there nice lighting for a podcast?

It's because everybody needs to see how handsome you are.

Oh, I realize it's being recorded.

And so I'm just going to start off this podcast with a story about, you know, how Derek and I met and

it's probably going to make him like super uncomfortable.

So I met Derek like over 10 years ago and I remember I'll never forget it so I was on a match.com date with an absolute idiot.

He was just his name was Nick and I remember when we first went to get drinks before we went to your show.
