So you know that feeling when you've messed up so badly that you just want the ground to open up and swallow you whole?

Just disappear off the face of the planet.

Yeah, that's happened to me too.

And it's easy to wonder in that moment if we just totally messed up God's plans for our

lives too.

Like, secretly, we might ponder if God just wants to give up on us.

After all, we'd probably give up on ourselves at this point, too, wouldn't we?

Welcome back to the Prayers of Rest podcast. I'm your host, Ashrida Chuchu, and this season,

we are resting in the promises of God. Specifically, today, we are praying through God's

promise to fulfill his plans for us.

And if you related to what I said in the beginning of this episode, then I want to make sure

But as we begin, take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us.

Today's passage comes from Romans chapter 8, verses 28 and 29.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,

who have been called according to his purpose.

For those God foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son.

Let's begin by reciting God's goodness.

Oh God, you are the author of all good things.

And you make no mistakes.

God, before the creation of the world, you knew each one of us.

You chose each one of us to be a part of your family.
