Here's the case that I think is a legitimate

case filed up in Seattle. And it's filed by Amazon against the administrators of Facebook

groups that they're arguing acted as fake review brokers. And here is basically what's happening. What

Amazon is doing is suing these groups, the administrators of these groups, for soliciting

reviews for items, Amazon items, in exchange for either money or free products. In other

words, I'll give you reviews if you pay me.

In one case, 10 bucks or free products.

And by the way, just to give you an idea of the numbers here,

there are more than 10,000 Facebook groups

that are acting as fake review brokers doing this, according to Amazon.

Wow. One of the groups called Amazon product review, according to this story, had over 43,000 members

and offered refunds or other payment to buyers willing to leave bogus reviews.

Another group, Amazon verified buyer and seller verified VAR, had over 2,500 members,

and there the administrators would seek out fake reviews and offer them to Amazon sellers

charging $10 per review, and that's

according to this lawsuit.
