My name is Andrew Tate and this is season six episode two of Let's Not Meet a true horror

podcast.

This story took place about five years ago. I was sublacing my on-suppartment in Washington

Heights and uptown neighborhood of Manhattan. Most of my neighbors were either elderly people

or orthodox Jewish families with Shabbat every Friday. So trust me when I say this building

was very quiet and very peaceful. I truly enjoyed living there. Most importantly, I always

felt safe there. For the purpose of this story, I needed to describe the actual building.

It was an old apartment building built in the 20s. Only six floors plus the basement where

we had a mini laundromat and a live-in super. Whoever was building the block back in the

day just decided to copy the buildings, I guess, since they all look exactly the same.

Also on our street, every apartment building was sitting a bit taller than the other, but

that was due to it being built on a hill like surface. Like I mentioned earlier, our

live-in super was living in the basement apartment. In my sublies situation, I had to pay my
