majority leader elect john thune has made it clear that it won't be easy to try to get all of these cabinet picks through the Senate, given the fact the Republicans have a 53-seat majority.

And he has also made clear that recess appointments are on the table, particularly for some of these more controversial picks.

Like, for instance, his pick for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is accused of sexual assault

in a 2017 police report, and the former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who is Trump's

pick as Director of National Intelligence.

She's been accused of amplifying Russian propaganda and secretly meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

There's a difference of opinion over the incoming administration's plan to deport hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants and some Democrats are ready to resist.

As Democratic leaders vowed to fight back against President-elect Donald Trump's deportation plans, some here in New York City have a much different message and say sanctuary laws are

doing more harm than good. Among them, the director of New York City's ICE field office,

Kenneth Janallo, who told the New York Post, quote,

the only people they're shielding are the criminals, and they're shielding the criminals from us.

Janallo also suggested to the outlet that his office works not hundreds, but thousands of leads every day,

to try and locate migrants with criminal records.

Janallo's fellow ICE agents over in Boston announcing at least seven arrests.
