For time for a deal, I'm Chris Dimaio, Fox News.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen now says the federal government will continue to be

able to pay its loans through June 5th.

After that, Congress will have to raise a nation's debt ceiling or risk default.

Yellen says the government will make payments of $130 billion to Medicare, Social Security

and Veterans Programs in early June.

But then the government will only have what she term, quote, an extremely low level of

resources.

It was another day without a deal.

Work mandates for people to receive some federal aid as a flashpoint, Republicans and Democrats

will not move.

Republicans say they're within the window of getting a deal, no deal heaps anxiety on

global capitals who look to Washington.

The hard right and hard left likely oppose any final agreement, but the House could pass

a bill with a wide group of bipartisan members.

That no deal today means the House may not act until this time next week.

House Democrats are growing frustrated with the president's hands off approach to debt

talks with an anonymous Democratic Congressperson telling Politico, quote, it's time to bring

the president off the bench or bring somebody off the bench.
