I know stress and meditation should, those words just seem funny to go together, but I've

just heard a lot recently of people struggling with getting started with their meditation

and actually feeling that it was stressing them out.

Now this is not what we want to do.

We don't want to bring any more struggle or stress into your life.

So I thought we would go over some tips to help you with that.

You know, there's a great quote from Jonathan Fields, he says, meditation cultivates awareness.

It stills the water so you can see what's underneath lying in the sand.

But if you don't like what you see, it doesn't make it all better.

And so I think that's important to remember.

Meditation cultivates awareness and mindfulness, right?

And so I've always looked at my meditation practice as my way of being with my own mind,

slowly giving myself the time and the space to be with my own mind.

Because I want to know what it's doing and I want to understand it so that I can have

the best life I can and to not be led astray by maybe just wild thoughts that are not things
