| 0:00.0 | Coming up on today's show. Different foods stimulate different levels of insulin. What's insulin's job? Well, to tell you to store more body fat, if it's chronically high, you're going to gain a lot of weight because you're moving a lot of glucose into the cells. They're going to fill up so that glucose can no longer go in the cell because the cell is full, which is called type 2 diabetes. So you can store energy in the form of either |
| 0:21.6 | sugar or fat. And you have too much fat, that's obesity. When you have too much sugar, it's diabetes. |
| 0:26.2 | Where the fat comes from predominantly with fatty liver disease is through to novo lipogenesis, |
| 0:32.1 | which means that you're eating carbohydrates in excess in the presence of a lot of insulin. |
| 0:37.3 | That contributes to the fatty liver and |
| 0:39.6 | the visceral fat much more than just general calories or whatever. I don't worry about saturated |
| 0:45.3 | fat in the least. Is it a natural fat that came from nature and has been used for hundreds of |

| 1:15.0 | getting that's coming on because, say, they're seeking pleasure or they're bored? |
| 1:19.8 | Yeah, I think that's really important because it's really a mind, it's really a question |
| 1:26.7 | of mindfulness. So knowing the difference and knowing |
| 1:30.4 | why you're eating is really important if you're trying to differentiate. Because most people |
| 1:34.0 | don't differentiate between the different types of hunger. Because the idea is that, you know, |
| 1:40.9 | we eat because we're hungry and we stop eating because we're full. |
| 1:45.0 | And sometimes we say hunger is a liar. |
| 1:47.5 | And what that means is that we think that hunger means that your body is crying out for nutrients and calories. |
| 1:57.0 | But it's not. |
| 1:58.1 | Why wouldn't? |
| 1:58.8 | Because if you have, say, 50 pounds of body fat, which isn't particularly |
