Okay, so we've been doing a Throne of Eldrain card by card series, where I'm talking about

the design of different Thorn of Eldrain cards, and we are up to G. So we're going to talk about

Gadwick the Wisened. So Gadwick the Wisened costs X blue, blue, blue, blue.

So three man of which is blue, the rest is X.

It's a three three legendary creature, human wizard.

When Gadwick the Wisen enters the battlefield, draw X cards.

Whenever you cast a blue spell, tap target non-lim permanent and opponent controls.

Okay, so this is part of the court leader cycle. So obviously, we were doing Arthurian legend.

You had to do Merlin. That's definitely one of the probably best known things of Arthurian.

And we liked the idea that one of the courts, and the blue court made the most sense,

was led by Merlin, was led by the, I mean, our version of Merlin, but was led by a wizard.

So I think the other for all are nobles, where we didn't, we just put human wizard.

Because he's not, he's not a king or a queen.

He's not royalty.

And he does lead the blue court, but he leaves the blue court because he's the most

awesome wizard.

But anyway, we had talked...

There's a lot of interesting conversations about what to do with Merlin.

I think at one point, there was a Plainswalker that was kind of filling in

from Merlin, and we did a bunch of different things.
