Summary

David waited years to see the fulfillment of God’s promise to him. Sometimes waiting is hard. It’s the hardest thing we can do when it appears that our prayers aren’t being answered. God is always in the waiting and he is always working even when we can’t see.

David had been anointed to be the next king of Israel when he was just a young man, but it would be many, many years before he would actually become king.

have even wanted to give up. Sometimes God asks us to wait on him. When we don't see the answer to our prayers, it's not because God

doesn't hear us, but sometimes he is asking us to wait. Waiting can be hard.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get impatient when I have to wait.

If you look around God's creation, you will find that He has made Waiting a natural part of life.

Take the Eagle Mother, for example.

When a Mother Eagle lays her egg,

she has to wait up to 35 days for it to hatch.

During that time, the mother eagle cannot see what's happening
