How's it going, everyone. You're listening to Trail Tales. My name is Kyle O'Grady and every single week on this podcast. I, a through hiker, a peak bagger, a huge hiking nerd chat with other

through hikers and other peekbaggers and other hiking nerds about their experiences on the trail.

Now, last week I had said that I was going to try and have Julia Sheehan trail named Rocket

back on the show for another episode because she had talked quite a bit about her PCT

through hike plans for this upcoming year in that past episode and uh yeah that's probably not

going to end up happening unfortunately because of this COVID-19 coronavirus BS stuff so during during this episode, she gives some updates to those plans.

And we talk quite a bit about how coronavirus is affecting through hiking. We give some guidance on what you should do, perhaps, if you are in the middle of a through hike right now or if you're going to

be through hiking sometime in the near future. And the great thing about this conversation is

it's not just two hikers talking about this stuff. Well, I mean, it is, but one of those two

hikers, Julia is a nurse and experience nurse, a medical professional. I don't know if I would

feel comfortable putting out an episode like this if it was just

two non-medical people talking about this, because I just feel like it would be speculation.

And as you're going to hear me say, many times during this episode, I'm not a professional

on this stuff.

I don't really know what the right answer is more than anybody else does, unfortunately.

And so it was just, it was good to talk to a medical professional who also understands through

hiking about this stuff.

And I think this is going to be valuable and helpful.

And we don't just talk about coronavirus.

During the second half of the episode, we kind of stray off and talk about some other

hiking related things.

And at the end of the episode, Julia tells not one, but two stories.
