Glory Liu has written the new book Adam Smith's America, as so many in our audiences will

know from our school year's Adam Smith, the wealth of nations, originally published

in 1776 was lauded by America's founders as a landmark work of enlightenment.

It was thought at the time that it was about national wealth, state craft and moral virtue.
