us i saw in one of my local slack groups you know i don't know if you're in any like austin one but i'm in

like a couple of different tech ones you know yeah and they're like ghost towns except for once

in a while somebody out of an interesting question and people have ideas but one guy's like is

like a network guy I can hire?

Wan, Lan, etc. He writes, you know, to come just like diagnose what's going on with my network.

We've talked about this a little bit in the past, but you just, it's like a subgenre of tech that is very

interesting. And there's a lot to know. And I just don't know

any of it, especially because I don't know if it was you or somebody has like seeded my mind

with this idea that little very unexpected things can go very wrong with your otherwise good

Wi-Fi specifically network. One of those

things is that you have a device on your network that supports only old protocols in the way

that Wi-Fi was designed. It's like, oh, well, I need to support them. So everyone gets a degraded

experience. It pulls them all down.

And how do you know?

Do you know every single thing in your house that connects to the internet?

How is your printer doing over there?

I just went upstairs and turned it off because I'm like, I have a Wi-Fi printer.

I don't know if it's any good.

And in fact, I believe that they'd be incentivized to not put expensive Wi-Fi componentry in it because nobody wants to buy a $500 printer.
