Summary

Ask Paul Tripp is a semi-weekly podcast resource from Paul Tripp Ministries. Each week, pastor and best-selling author Dr. Paul David Tripp answers your questions about anything and everything, connecting the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life in the process.

In this episode, Paul answers this question we received: “We’ve been praying for our child to get into a specific school, but if God is sovereign and this choice has already been made, what’s the point of prayer? If we don’t pray, does it impact the decision?"

If you have a question you'd like to ask Paul, you can email [email protected] or submit it online at PaulTripp.com/Ask.

point of prayer? If we don't pray, does it impact the decision? Would God punish us for not

praying by not giving us the result that we are hoping and praying for? I feel kind of silly

1:10.4

praying for something that

1:11.4

has already been determined before time began. Or at least, I want to believe that my prayer is making

1:17.4

a difference and is worth it in whatever way that could be. I want to say that I just love these

questions. I don't think that we've ever entertained a bad question.
