As we read in the Gospel of John about the Cross of Christ, we're struck with the implied invitation to leave something at the cross.

I think this is an important conversation and one that can really bring a blessing to a person's life.

You know, you can analyze the cross, you can read about the cross, you can discuss the

cross, but until you leave something at the cross, you really haven't embraced the cross.

Here's some ideas.

Why don't you start with your bad moments.

Those bad habits, just leave them at the cross.

Take them to Christ.

Selfish moods, white lies.

Give them, give them up.

Take them up the hill to Calvary, those binges, those bigotries.

God wants them.
