This has happened before. In 2008 the Green Movement was speaking out against what many saw in Iran as a fraudulent election. But now with protests

carrying on into 2018 it seems that today's Iranian rebels are different.

Women have been removing their hijabs and waiving them at security guards in acts of defiance,

workers are coming out on strike, and in cities all across the country, not just in Tehran,

people are demanding an end to the regime.

So, what is the significance of all of this?

And more crucially, why are so many in the West

are willing to celebrate these acts of bravery?
