With me, your host, Katie Charlwood, History Harlet and Reader of Books.

Now, before we get into this episode, I would just like to say to, you know,

all of the people who have issues with language and my language, specifically, this is not

your history class. There are a bunch of other history podcasts which have a lot,

you know, neater language than mine. And if you don't like words like Pess-a-Fucker-Ballocks,

probably best you bugger off now, right? Because this is just how it is, you don't like it.

That is up to you. For everyone else, hey, did you miss me? I know it's been so long since the last

episode. What happened? I went to Kansas. Well, I actually went to New Jersey first, and a wonderful

history teacher took me down to the boardwalk. So I actually met a professor and then a teacher,

so I, because my fans are history

people, which is super fun. So, professionals. So I went down to the Jersey boardwalk and it was really

nice. I don't get why everybody was complaining so much. I was getting

mess just going careful, but Jersey, it's a shithole. And I'm like going along the

boardwalk, there's like vintage stores and ice cream and hot dogs that I never got to eat, but

I want to go back to New Jersey to get some Nathan's hot dogs and I don't care. I want to do

it. It looks like delicious.

But I'm like looking at all this like architecture and you know people are skateboarding and it's just very chill. I don't know. It was very nice. I quite liked it. It was quite a good time.

And I don't know how else to explain sort of like New York and New Jersey, like the suburbs versus like cities.

And all I can say is it was very much what I expected it to be.

I was really surprised when I got to Kansas though because it was bloody gorgeous.
