Hello and welcome to another World War II podcast now you'll notice from the title of

this episode has nothing to do with the Dunkirk evacuation and I know in the

last episode I suggested that that is what we will be looking at next.

Well, I have two episodes planned and prepared. I just need to synchronise my diary with a

guest and so far that is something that I have failed to do so we will get to

Dunkirk but not in this episode.

Joining me today is Max Timmig.

Max's grandfather was the German World War II Night Fighter Ace

Wolfgang Timmig. Incredibly, Wolfgang flew with Lufwaffe throughout the war

from Poland right to the end in 1945. But just before we get to his story, a quick reminder that this
