I'm sure there are many people listening

who aren't aware of the P61,

but it's a fairly distinctive looking plane. Can you describe it?

The P61, probably the most distinctive feature about it is that it was painted all black.

It has twin tails and twin booms like a P38 has. It's got 2 R2800 radial engines,

Pratt and Whitney radial engines, four-bladed propellers, and it operated with either a crew of two or of three it was a single pilot
