We all have had that kind of conversation, right, where you're talking with someone at a party

and you're trying to listen to what they're saying, but in your head're like does my face look weird should I make a different facial expression maybe I've been

making eye contact for too long oh I maybe I shouldn't cross my arms I kind of

look defensive wait what have they been saying what should I say back

uh maybe I should say this no that would seem like this that could be weird I should maybe

say this and on and on it goes of this social anxiety of over-analyzing all the little things

that we do and say rather than just genuinely

allowing ourselves to be ourselves and being present with who we're with rather than

monitoring everything we're saying and doing and not paying attention to what other people are saying because we are so caught up in trying to be a certain person in trying to be someone who's cool or liked or whatever it is that we have a hard time giving ourselves permission to just be

ourselves false and all. I have a group of people that I kind of have dealt with this where I

wanted really badly to fit in with them and I just just thought that they were really cool. And I thought
