| 0:55.3 | endless trails of and they don't come up out into the light they're just down there in the dark |

| 1:06.2 | lower we are feeling the more apt we are to stay in that cycle and it's important for us to remember right up front that the brain is not trying to hurt us. |
| 1:18.9 | There isn't something wrong with our mind |
| 1:25.0 | mind is not working against us. Our mind is not working against us. |
| 1:28.0 | It is doing exactly what it is built to do. |
| 1:32.0 | And this is important for us to remember. The brain is trying to keep |
| 1:36.9 | us safe. And this is the ancient brain. That's its job. That's why we are here today. |

| 1:48.0 | and ran away from noises and small things that scared them. They were the survivors. |
| 1:56.0 | Those who continue to hang around the campfire and just carry on as if nothing was wrong or there was no danger, they didn't |
| 2:06.7 | survive. Those who were hyper-vigilant survived and that is how that ancient brain works, our lizard brain, the amygdala, it is not |
| 2:18.0 | working against us, it is doing exactly what it should do. But we have more than that brain and we need to remember |
| 2:25.8 | this and in many cases we can use our bigger brain, our wise mind, our executive functioning, our prefrontal cortex, the whole brain can be used |
| 2:38.8 | to look deeper into fearful situations and to respond versus react out of primal safety. |
