| 0:00.0 | So I had another one of my Razor gaming laptops have a significant problem. Oh, there's a surprise. Yeah, this is mine. So this is the one that gets the least use because it's mine. So, you know, it's only like when I'm playing family games. Like I don't really play it by myself. It's, I think, five years old, something like that, maybe more, maybe six. It's, it's not new. It's six years old and running Windows, so you've reinstalled Windows 12 times at this point? |
| 0:24.0 | Well, never, because it's a gaming laptop, so I don't care how bad it gets. |
| 0:28.9 | But we were in the middle of a family of Minecraft game the other day and uh it starts making a |
| 0:40.2 | terrible sound don't love that yeah it's you know starts making a very very bad sound seemingly |
| 0:47.1 | from one of the fans and the whole laptop starts vibrating like crazy so i'm like okay probably |
| 0:53.4 | you know maybe the maybe a bearing you know went bad in the fan or something. But it's like, it's unusable. And interestingly, that's got to be the only thing left inside a laptop that conceivably could make noise other than the speaker because there's no other moving parts in there, right? It's just the fans. Yeah, just fans. And I mean, you know, you could theoretically have like electronic, you know, wines and chirping. |
| 1:14.2 | Yeah, like a buzzer or a wine maybe. |
| 1:16.1 | Or like I said, the speakers could be going wonky and sending stuff. But yeah, the fans. Yeah. Sounds like a culprit. Yeah. So, and in all fairness, |
| 1:08.7 | like we've now had in the three members of our family, |
| 1:11.7 | I think we've had five Razor gaming laptops or four. |
| 1:14.8 | This is the last one standing. In all fairness, we've now had in the three members of our family, I think we've had five Razor |
| 1:27.9 | Gaming laptops or four. This is the last one standing. They do not last under actual use by |
| 1:35.4 | actual gamers. They're great for people like me who occasionally play games with their family, |
| 1:40.0 | but don't play a lot heavily every day. They just, they do not last. |
| 1:45.6 | And I, I would love to say, oh my God, look at this PC laptop maker that sucks. |
| 1:49.5 | But the reality is like, not only is Razor, I think the best PC laptop maker I have |
| 1:53.7 | found so far, at least for this, for this kind of PC, but also like no laptop could stand up to the amount of stress that a heavy gaming load for, you know, every day for years puts on it. |
| 2:06.4 | Anyway, so I open it up and of course, I see the battery is a little bit pillow shaped. |
| 2:13.0 | Oh, no. |
| 2:13.5 | Your old friend. |
| 2:14.4 | Ugh. |
| 2:15.9 | And it's subtle, but it's there. Like, it's definitely puffy. There should be no puffiness. Zero puffiness is the correct amount. Right, which I learned last time this came up, and I asked the audience, and everyone including you said it's supposed to be a flat rectangle and it was, you know, very much not. What is it, John? Zero boobs? Uh, yeah, spicy ravioli, I believe was the phrase that the internet sent Marco immediately upon him posting a picture of his bulging batteries. In large quantities, I might add as well. I got many of those. Anyway, so I've recognized, you know, this was the early stages of this problem too. So, all right, so I take the battery out and I'm looking the fan. |
