So guys, before we get into the topics of the day, Stuart, I just want to spend a minute,

your book, your latest book, It Was All Lie, just came out on paperback this week.

You know, when I read it last year, I was struck by it. There's so much of it that is

such a, I don't even want to call it a racial undertone, but a racial overtone. But as I told

you, I think when I first read the book, what I thought was most fascinating was for all

of the ethos of the pull yourself up by the bootstraps deal that if William F. Buckley,

Jr.'s father had not bought the publishing house to get his book published and to start

the national review, it never would have happened.

Yeah, there's so many stories about the Republican Party and truths about the Republican

Party. I thought I knew a lot about the party. I worked in it for like 30 years. You know,

the Republican Party is not an obscure subject and there's a lot of great self to

be written about it. And being able to read a lot about it, there's a fascinating history

of right wing media. I think it's called messengers of the right by a University of Virginia

professor Nicole Hammer that went through the whole history of the development of right

wing media as a separate entity. And she came to write it because she lives in Iowa. Farm

girl growing up, she had a kind of moderate Republican dad and she watched him change
