Okay, Luke, be honest, which movie would you rather watch again?

Coastal elites or the 2025 War of the Worlds?

It's funny, that movie, the War of the Worlds one, has really

stuck with me since we watched it. I've kept thinking about it. Oh, damn. Yeah, exactly. And it's been,

it's been kind of like involuntary. You know, usually if we record on something, and I'm still

thinking about it a week later, that's because I found it really interesting or there was something really provocative in it or, you know, I enjoyed it, you know, such that I want to still be thinking about it seven days later.

Not in this case.

This one stuck in my craw in the exact same way that that other COVID movie, Coastal Elites,

did. And I've been finding myself dwelling on the question of which of these is a worse movie.

Because, I mean, I won't say what movie you said here, but you showed up at the studio today

and said that a certain movie was, like, there's no movie you'd rather watch less in the

entire world and I said there's no way that can be true because you know coastal elites exists

uh the the war of the world's movie exists so this prompted if not a debate an exchange of ideas

i'll just say I feel kind of fondly towards War of the Worlds. I think compared to

coastal elites, like it's got more to look at. It's got more to think about. Well, I definitely

think it's more ambitious. It's, it's calmer because it's just a single shot on someone's face.

Coastal elites as. Coastal elites has this noxious liberal smugness

about it, which I really, really hated. The thing about War of the Worlds, and I think I'm

like, I'm radicalizing on my own position here as I talk to you. The thing about War of the Worlds

is that it's like if somebody created a theme park ride where the premise was,

you know, you know that thing where you sit down and you look at the news on your computer

and then you argue with your family about the news on other windows, that low grade anxiety
