Welcome to a new episode of the show and the last book in the girls series.

Hopefully you listen last week and earlier this week I have been sharing chapters from my fiction series.

It's called the girls series.

There's party girl, sweet girl, and then smart girl,

which is where we find ourselves today.

Each of these were stories about young women

living in Los Angeles trying to start careers.

And I absolutely loved this idea because I was that woman and I know many of you were those people too.

Like you moved to a new city and you tried to build a new life in your early 20s and maybe that went well and maybe it was

super hard and I just think it's such a cool time to write about because there's so much possibility

and a certain amount of anxiety and most of us

have been through it.

So that was the impetus for this idea and I knew if I was going to take on the last character, Miko, and give her her own book.

I really had to allow her to build her own career as well.
