A call slot failed to materialize, so I wanted to chat a little bit and talk to you guys,

have questions, comments, issues, challenges,

problems, criticisms, whatever is on your mind.

The Trump administration has recently changed rules so that people who are on some kind of temporary visa or accommodation in America, and I'm not an expert, obviously look it up

yourself, but they, if they want a green card,

they have to go back to their country of origin in order to wait for their green card, which can

of course take some time. And of course, quite predictably, the caterwauling about immigration

has arisen in that people are saying, oh, but there are all these

skilled people who are adding to the GDP. They're going to have to leave the country. All these

AI workers are going to have to leave the country. And it's the worst thing ever, tearing families

apart and all of this, just emotional clap-trap, utter bullshit. Who cares? Total nonsense. Now,

I, of course, am not an American. I think I can speak with some

minor authority with regards to the perspectives and opinions of the friendly cannibals down south,

but I think these sentiments are shared by a lot of Americans. And the idea that people need to be in America to produce value for a lot of Americans. And the idea that people need to be in America to produce value for

Americans is kind of odd. Because one of the things that kind of subtly happened as a result

of COVID was everyone was told, oh yeah, you can just work remotely and that's totally fine.

Now, it doesn't matter if you're down the street, in another state, or in another country.

You can still provide an ad value.

So if there are all these AI workers and everybody was told for years that they could work remotely, no problem,

and in fact it was fine, then the idea that you have to be in America physically
