See, there's a great lie that is settled upon the people of faith.

Oh, it flourishes. It has deep tentacles in our hearts and our expectations because I hear

how we coach our children and our grandchildren. And it goes something like this. If you really

serve the Lord, it'll diminish you. It's a lie. And I believe the choir that supports it is our own

carnal, earthly, Adamic nature. That a beginning point is for us to come back and say, Lord, we're

sorry. We've used our time as influences in their life to help them see the world, experience

the world, to grow up, to have a full portfolio of possibilities, more than we taught them to fear God.

I began in the previous session, a study that I want to continue with you for a bit on the tabernacle, temple, synagogues, and churches.

If you are just a casual reader of the Bible, I think those would all be familiar to you.

When God delivered the Hebrew slaves from Egypt, there was a tremendous challenge in front of the people. They'd been

slaves for hundreds of years. And although God had delivered them, they didn't understand

how to be an autonomous group of people. They were in route to a territory, a land that God

had promised them. But before they could occupy that land and flourish, they had to learn how to

become a community,
