A Woman of Substance on Channel 4. Stream now. I was thinking about how autism or autistic people have actually shaped our politics, the extremes thereof, quite drastically. On the left, there's the Greta Thinbergs of the world. How dare you? What is your analysis of this? They are low incognitive empathy, i.e. they have difficulty thinking how other people think. Margaret Thatcher was autistic. Why is she so successful? Part of it is the autism. So I think a lot of people think autistic people are almost like psychopaths. So with regard to you, you don't come across to me as high in autism. No, I would assume elements of psychopathy or Machiavellianism. You're autistic, everything's just so complicated. You can see how both extremes are attractive. They can become overwhelmed. And that will result in what's known colloquially as an autistic meltdown. Some people might say, hey, these are superpowers. And other people might say, no, they're going to lead us astray. In times of crisis, that's the kind of person that you need. The person that breaks the rules, that kind of character. Ed Dutton, welcome back to the show. How are you doing? Oh, we started. |

So I'm a professor of evolution, evolution to psychology of business at Asprey University in Poland, and they made me an honorary professor in psychology at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Right. | 2:34.7 | quite drastically, I think, because you look on the left, there's the Greta Thunbergs of the world, you see what's happening with the woke stuff and all of that, and on the right, they call them Spurgs, do you know what I mean, as in Asperger's, they even call one another that on the far right. What is your analysis of this? As it happens, I'm writing a book on this at the moment, but specifically in relation to women. |
| 2:54.4 | Yeah. that on the far right. What is your analysis of this? As it happens, I'm writing a book on this at the moment, specifically in relation to women. |
| 2:53.6 | Yeah, it, it, that would make a great deal of sense. If you look at the, saying, what |
