In this new episode, Crawlspace Media's Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna speak with Bill Thomas about a major update in his sister Cathy Thomas's case as well as the Colonial Parkway Murders. Bill is the brother of Cathleen Thomas who, along with her girlfriend Rebecca Ann Dowski, were the first victims of the serial killer that terrorized couples in the region of the Colonial Parkway in Virginia between 1986 and 1989. In January of 2024, a man named Alan Wade Wilmer Sr. was named as the prime suspect in connection to the murders of David Knobling and Robin Edwards, Teresa Lynn Howell and Cassandra Hailey and Richard Call. 0:48.7	And Lance, there's been a big update in this case just recently from the FBI. And we speak with Bill about that. How'd you like
0:59.9	this conversation? Well, first of all, it's been far too long since we've had Bill on the show.
1:04.5	He is an old friend, like you said, but he isn't old in the sense of age. I mean, the guy has been
1:10.5	a friend of ours for a long,
1:12.1	long time. He's got a great show Mind Over Murder that he produces and co-hosts and co-writes
1:17.3	with Kristen Dilley. It's a fantastic show, and it's primarily geared towards finding answers
1:24.0	for his sister in the Colonial Parkway Mur murders. Now, his sister, Kathy Thomas,
1:29.7	and her girlfriend, Rebecca Dowski, are officially considered the first two victims, at this point,
1:35.8	at least, of the Colonial Parkway murders. And Bill's been crusading to find who is responsible
1:41.0	for their deaths and the deaths of the other victims as well.
1:44.8	So on a few different levels, I'd love this conversation because it was great to get him back
1:48.7	on the air here and to hear the new news, the exciting news about this.
1:54.0	The other reason, because he's just a good dude, and he was great to talk with.

2:00.6	And so when Bill Thomas met with the
2:02.8	FBI on January 20th, 2026, they informed him that Alan Wilmer murdered his sister, Kathy Thomas,
2:10.4	and her girlfriend, Rebecca Dowski. And that double murder happened on October 9th, 1986, by the way. So this is obviously a case that
