and we work together in the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. So today we're going to begin our

discussion of the double murder of John and Geraldine McGee in Andover, Massachusetts. Although

they weren't found until December 14th of 2011,

their murders likely occurred during the evening hours of December 13th of 2011. So we are quickly

approaching the 13th anniversary of this unsolved double homicide, which is one of the reasons why we wanted to cover this case right now.

We also think it can benefit from some additional exposure. It's a lesser known case.

Furthermore, there is some very interesting behavior on the part of the offender that we believe to be staging in this case and that may

provide some information about the identity of the offender and their relationship to the victims.

Now the McGee's case was referred to by local media as the mansion murders because the

McGee's resided in a very large home.

It was 14 rooms.

However, it was only a little over 6,000 square feet.

So it didn't technically qualify as a mansion, but it was indeed a very large home.

John, who was also known as Jack, and Geraldine, who is also known as Jerry, were found by

their adult daughter Holly on the morning of December 14th when she had arrived at their home

with her young children. This was a routine

because Jerry often watched her grandchildren when Holly was at work and expecting a routine
