Lately, I've noticed a trend where Christians are beginning to refer to God in the feminine

as she or as mother.

Is this biblical and in line with the historic Christian faith?

We're going to talk about it on today's podcast.

My guest today is Clark Bates, who has been on the podcast a few times before as a part

of our misunderstood Bible verse series, which was a really popular series.

People really like that.

But today, we're going to talk about something that sort of falls into that category.

It's something I'm seeing more and more.

And that's this idea of calling God a she, and in particular specifying or personifying

the Holy Spirit as a she.

And so first of all, Clark, I want to welcome you back to the podcast.

Things have changed a little bit for me in the last few weeks, few months.

Those that were following my apologetic work probably saw that I am stepping away from

actively doing a apologetic ministry for the time being.

I'm clinging down the exit Jesus website for a while.

And the reason is to focus on a lot of the scholarly work that I'm trying to move forward.
