Hey everyone, welcome to another episode of Monday Meditations.

To start the week off right, the phrase we're going to be meditating on is faith before the promise.

Trusting God is a really interesting dynamic because when you have trust, like for instance, my trust with my husband,

that is something where I am putting my trust in another broken human.

And I love him with all of my heart.

But I know that he is human. He's not God.

And when you're putting your trust into someone else,

you're hoping that they trust you as well. Why would it be any different

when we put our trust in God? You should be someone that he should be able to entrust as well,

the blessings and the gifts and the miracles, just as much as you're able to say, I trust you, God,

when you see visible blessings, but what about when, you know,

things aren't working out? You know, I have friends who are still praying to have a child

and their womb is still empty. But that trust, it's not a one-way trust. They know that God

hears them. That trust is powerful. It is, it's not blind. It's not a one-way trust. They know that God hears them.

That trust is powerful.

It's not blind.

It's very faith-filled trust.

That even though there's no changes happening, they still trust that there will be.

And God always says, wait on me.

Trust in me.

And in Genesis chapter 15, we meet a man standing in that very place.

His name is Abram.
